Showtime followed up its "Queer as Folk" success with this groundbreaking series about a close-knit community of Los Angeles lesbians and their friends. The cast includes museum director Bette (Jennifer Beals) and her partner Tina (Laurel Holloman), who are trying to start a family; promiscuous hairdresser Shane (Katherine Moennig); closeted tennis player Dana (Erin Daniels); Bette and Tina's neighbors Tim (Eric Mabius) and Jenny (Mia Kirshner); and Bette's half-sister Kit (Pam Grier), a singer and recovering alcoholic.
